Disaster management week at HBK

With a view to spread an awareness about disaster management and proper management with courage and confidence among the students primary sections of H.B.K. (Memnagar) dedicated from December 29 as "Disaster Management Awareness Week". The idea was to sugest ways to bring everyone out of crisis safely and with minimal loss. For this, students were encouraged to make charts, posters, projects and to collect informative material on the form of essay on commonly occuring disasters like earthquakes, floods and fire and how to combat against such conditions. Demonstration for the teachers and non-teaching staff was organised wherein they were shown the usage of the fire extinguisher at the time of emergency. Informative circular regarding action plan for disaster and important do's and don'ts was distributed among the students and teachers. A mock drill was arranged to evacuate the building and to assemble in the open space in case of disasters like earthquake in order to make everyone's life safe and secure. Studennts right from last Ist to class VII actively took part in the event during the week and exchange their ideas and information collected by all of them. The creations of the students were exhibited in the school.
